The Spokesperson for the Ademola Adeleke Governorship Campaign Council, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has vowed to defeat the member representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Oluwole Oke, in the 2027 election.

Olajengbesi, who is the Accord Party candidate for the constituency, said he was encouraged by the outcome of the recent Osun State governorship election, where he claimed to have defeated Oke in the two local government areas that make up the federal constituency.

Oke, a member of the All Progressives Congress, has been representing the constituency in the House since 2003.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the lawyer and activist said the results of the governorship election showed that the electorate in the constituency was ready for a change in 2027. He said, “I defeated Oluwole Oke in the Osun governorship election. In Oriade, Accord got 21,343 votes, while APC had 14,863. In Obokun, Accord had 12,023, while APC scored 16,120. The total votes for Accord were 33,366 while APC had 30,983, defeating him by a 2,383-vote margin.
