The Pixel app updates continue today with Weather getting a new icon and some minor interface tweaks.
The blue background that fittingly reflected the sky is no more as part of a consistency push for Pixel apps. Pixel Weather and Weather, along with Google Calculator and Clock, have been hit particularly hard by this mandate.
Besides that, this update only has minor tweaks inside the application. Below the city name in the top-left corner, Google now always shows the “Updated xx:xx” time to let users know they are seeing the latest data.
Old vs. new
Meanwhile, “AI Weather Report” has been renamed to “Weather Brief” in the feed and Settings. Functionality does not appear to have changed.
