Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius said the possibility cannot be ruled out that the drone shot down over Latvia was part of a "false flag" operation.
That is according to Delfi, Ukrinform reports.
"The downed drone has not yet been found. I think it will be found soon, and then it will become clear what kind of aircraft it was and who it belonged to. Most likely, experts will even be able to trace its target through its microchips," Sinkevicius said in an interview with LNK zinios.
Asked by a journalist whether the drone incident was a "false flag" operation, the Lithuanian prime minister replied: "What you are talking about cannot be ruled out, but there is no evidence of that yet."
