A rather unusual business proposition has apparently found its way to the top brass of one of India’s biggest corporate houses. The pitch: turn India’s abundant supply of natural human hair into a sizeable export business. It may sound like a hairy idea, but we hear the proposal was serious enough to get a proper hearing. Which makes one wonder what a sprawling, diversified business group sees in a trade built, quite literally, around strands. Whether anything comes of it remains to be seen.
