Ban on American alcohol from Canadian shelves must be ‘resolved’ in tariff dispute: U.S. trade rep

OTTAWA—United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer says the banning of American alcohol from Canadian shelves must be “resolved,” as Canada stares down the imposition of new 50 per cent tariffs by Washington.

Speaking to reporters in Iowa on Friday, Greer said those 50 per cent tariffs, set to take effect on Wednesday, were coming as a result of the retaliatory measures Canada has taken against the U.S.
