KFC employees, LFBI staff volunteers package at the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Programme in Lagos
KFC Nigeria has partnered with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to provide food assistance to vulnerable households as part of efforts to address food insecurity in underserved communities.
According to a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Friday, the partnership, involving Devyani International Nigeria, operators of KFC Nigeria, was marked by a third outreach under the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Programme.
The exercise, held at the Lagos Food Bank warehouse in Mangoro, Ikeja, saw KFC employees, LFBI staff and volunteers package and distribute more than two tonnes of food to beneficiaries.
A total of 2,137kg of food was distributed, representing an estimated 7,123 meals. The intervention directly benefited 100 families, with an estimated 512 additional household members indirectly receiving support.
