Chief Medical, GVMC, ENV Naresh Kumar has stated that all the meat, chicken, fish and other such shops, as well as slaughterhouses within the limits of the corporation shall remain closed on August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day. He warned that if any meat shop is found open and selling meat, fish, prawns or other such products, appropriate stringent action will be initiated against the violators.
