The transaction values the Premier League club at more than £5.1bn, up from the £300m Fenway Sports Group paid to buy the club in 2010. Fenway Sports Group will maintain operational control and day-to-day running of the club, with no alterations to its leadership or transfer budget. Former QPR director Amit Bhatia led the consortium and will become a vice-president of Liverpool FC, alongside new board representation.
