In the minibus taxi sector, verifying daily cash collections poses a challenge for vehicle owners. Without an independent system to count passengers, owners frequently suffer revenue leakage when drivers underreport cash fares.
This discrepancy often leads to monthly losses of R8,000 to R14,000 per vehicle.
