This year has been a challenging one for travellers, with rising flight prices, higher jet fuel costs and the squeeze on household budgets all pushing up the cost of getting away.
Some 22 per cent of Britons are increasing their holiday budgets in a bid to make sure they can still enjoy a break.
But it’s not all bad news. A handful of popular destinations are actually offering better value than they did in 2025, with the pound stretching further once holidaymakers arrive.
