Last week, the eThekwini Council approved a motion aimed at addressing the escalating water crisis.
The motion was tabled by Alicia Kisoon, the DA's eThekwini caucus chairperson, who addressed ongoing failures in planning, procurement and maintenance within the municipality.
Kisoon said the eThekwini Water and Sanitation Turnaround Strategy had delivered empty promises, while water losses continued to rise.
