The companies said they will co-develop ultra-long-duration energy storage (ultra-LDES) projects by integrating Noon Energy’s reversible electrofuels battery systems with Sabanci’s renewable portfolio.
First commercial deployments of the solution are expected to commence as early as 2027.
The partners claim that the focus of the agreements is to co-develop “100 percent clean, firm power projects which pair Sabanci Renewables’ clean generation portfolio with Noon Energy’s ultra-LDES storage to enable baseload renewable energy.”
