Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced on Thursday that Ankara and Cairo have reached an agreement to take “more serious measures” regarding the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty in the Egyptian coastal city of Alamein, Fidan emphasized that the two nations held extensive talks on the unfolding tragedy in Gaza and potential pathways to a lasting solution.
“We have agreed with Egypt to take more serious measures regarding Gaza,” Fidan stated.
The top Turkish diplomat launched a scathing critique of Israeli leadership, accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his administration of relentlessly escalating policies that violate human dignity and provoke the international community.
