SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — Revenue from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority’s (SBMA) Port Operations Group grew by eight percent in the first half of 2026, driven mainly by higher earnings from seaport activities and increased non-containerized cargo, the agency said on Friday.
In a statement, SBMA said that consolidated gross revenue reached P874 million from January to June, up from P806 million during the same period last year.
SBMA Deputy Administrator III for Operations Group Ronnie Yambao said the increase came despite global economic challenges and measures implemented to cushion stakeholders from higher costs.
