MANILA, Philippines – Cargo bound for the planned Pax Silica hub in New Clark City is expected to pass through the Port of Subic Bay, which the state-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has identified as the “preferred maritime gateway” for the massive project.
Under an agreement announced on Monday, the BCDA said the port would serve as the primary entry and exit point for silica, advanced technology inputs and other high-value products to be used at the planned 1,619-hectare (ha) artificial intelligence (AI) industrial zone.
