Exciting young loose forward Wandile Mlaba is back in the Stormers XXIII starting team after featuring against the All Blacks last week.
The Stormers XXIII will look to the Pumas clash on Saturday to turn their Currie Cup fortunes around and give themselves a platform from which to launch a late push for a semi-final spot.
Currently fifth on the log, the Cape side are still firmly in the playoff conversation, but a defeat against the men from Nelspruit (5pm kick-off) would all but end their ambitions of reaching the knockout stages.
Head coach Tom Dawson-Squibb, however, remains optimistic about their chances and knows that a strong start on the road could give his side the confidence they need heading into their final two matches against the Bulls and Lions.
“Yeah, obviously on the Currie Cup log, we’re super aware of where we’re at, but my message to the guys was, let’s focus on the Pumas,” Dawson-Squibb said.
