UNICEF will transfer UAH 2.01 billion to the humanitarian account of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity, with the funds to be distributed among households in frontline regions.
The ministry said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"As part of preparations for the winter period, UNICEF, with financial support from the governments of Germany, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as national committees, will provide cash assistance to vulnerable families living near the front line," the statement said.
The ministry noted that UAH 2,012,792,601 will be transferred to the Humanitarian Response and Resilience Account opened by the ministry with the National Bank of Ukraine.
