Filashkin said Russian forces struck Kramatorsk and the nearby village of Bilenke eight times on Thursday evening, with hits recorded on residential buildings. A separate Russian attack in southeastern Zaporizhzhia wounded two people, including a five-year-old child, according to regional authorities. “The enemy strike hit a roadway near a vehicle,” Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram. “A 25-year-old woman and a 5-year-old child were wounded.” The attacks came as the United Nations reported Thursday that the number of civilians killed in Ukraine in July reached its highest monthly level since the first months of Russia’s full-scale invasion, amid an increase in Moscow’s long-range missile and drone strikes.
