The Lagos State Government has pledged its support and partnership for the organisers of the Miss Surulere Beauty Heritage Pageant, with assurances of assistance in securing necessary approvals and opening up opportunities for community development initiatives.
The state’s Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe, made the commitment while interacting with contestants and stakeholders involved in the pageant during a courtesy visit to Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, according to a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Thursday night.
Aregbe said the government was willing to support initiatives capable of promoting tourism, culture, youth development and the identity of Surulere, urging the organisers and contestants to leverage their platforms to create lasting impact.
On government support, he assured the organisers that the necessary approvals and documentation would be processed to facilitate their activities.
