The Lagos State Government has called for stronger collaboration and support from local government authorities to deepen grassroots development and ensure residents benefit from government policies.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, made the call on Saturday while addressing the 57 secretaries of the Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas at the quarterly meeting of the SSG and the SLGs in Ikeja.
She described the appointments of the council secretaries as a call to greater responsibility, integrity, duty and selfless service, urging them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
According to her, the officials occupy a strategic position in translating government policies into tangible benefits for residents at the grassroots.
