Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Rich Spirit released the teaser trailer for If I Go They Will Miss Me on Thursday. The film opens Sept. 11 in Los Angeles and Sept. 18 wide.
The teaser introduces Little Ant (Bodhi Dell) narrating a story about his parents. He sees his father, Big Ant (J. Alphonse Nicholson) as Poseidon with a trident and his mother (Danielle Brooks) as Medusa with snake-like hair.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. UPI praised it in its review for its deeply personal depiction of family struggles.
Walter Thompson-Hernandez wrote and directed. Jon Batiste provides the song "The Bitter Earth" for the film.
