Every successful pairing combines the particular strengths of each party to accomplish more than either could alone—and makes both better in the process. Look no further than the Porsche 911 coupe and cabriolet reimagined by Singer Vehicle Design and Louis Vuitton.
“The collaboration with Singer began with a request for a dashboard clock, before evolving into a broader project to personalize every functional element of the vehicle,” Jean Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s watch director, tells Robb Report. “What started with a single car ultimately expanded into two complete cars.”
The project marks the only time to date that the storied French luxury-goods maker has shared billing with another brand on a finished product. But the partnership aligned naturally with the values of both companies.
“Singer and Louis Vuitton share a passion for travel, adventure, and a true commitment to crafting objects,” Arnault explains. “We are both driven by the ambition to achieve the highest standard of craftmanship with uncompromising quality and meticulous attention to every detail.”
That common ground, along with his experience in mechanical engineering, led Arnault to take an active role in defining the aesthetic for the coupe, which received Singer’s Classic services. “I have always been drawn to the precision, complexity, and craftsmanship behind exceptional mechanical creations,” he says.
