XPENG recently revealed new details about the upcoming G9L. We have already seen a preview of the G9L and still must wait for final details at the official launch. However, after watching the press conference, the G9L seems to be advancing XPENG’s technology-fueled push into global premium vehicles.

The G9L was subjected to 6.74 million km of testing across 26 countries. I personally saw it testing in Munich. The extensive real-world testing has led to 3-year development cycles, which is longer than some competitors who rely more heavily on just simulations. In the fiercely competitive Chinese market, taking the time for real world verification was undoubtedly a challenge. However, it also means that the car will launch with bugs already worked out. Ready for global markets and the varying needs of global customers.
