Ferran Torres, the man who scored the goal that won Spain the 2026 FIFA World Cup, is heading to Paris. FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have reached the final stages of a deal that will see the 26-year-old forward move to Ligue 1 for approximately €50M, including potential add-ons.
Personal terms between Torres and PSG were agreed as of August 12, 2026. Barcelona even allowed the forward to skip training sessions to speed things along.
The numbers behind the deal
Barcelona originally signed Torres from Manchester City in early 2022 for roughly €55M. A sale at the reported €50M figure would let the Catalan club recover the vast majority of that initial outlay.
Torres had just one year remaining on his Barcelona contract. Barcelona reportedly pushed for a slightly higher sum during negotiations. Minor details around payment structures were still being finalized as the deal moved toward completion, but the broad framework of the transfer has been settled.
