LAFC just went shopping at one of European football’s most prestigious boutiques. The Los Angeles club announced on August 13 the permanent signing of forward Armindo Sieb from FC Bayern Munich, locking him down through the 2028-29 MLS season with an option extending through 2029-30.

Sieb, 23, arrives as the second player transfer under the Red&Gold Football partnership between LAFC and Bayern Munich.

What Sieb brings to the table

Born February 17, 2003, the 5-foot-9 German-Mozambican forward’s most eye-catching stretch came during the 2023-24 season at Greuther Fürth, where he scored 12 goals in 33 league games. Bayern recalled him from loan and activated a buy-back clause in 2024, though ultimately the path forward in Munich’s stacked attacking corps was always going to be narrow.

Sieb then spent two seasons on loan at 1. FSV Mainz 05. Across 62 appearances in all competitions at Mainz, he registered five goals and three assists.
