The Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Aminu Usman, has described his renomination as the running mate to Governor Umar Namadi for the 2027 gubernatorial election as a renewed call to service.
Mr Usman, an engineer made the statement during a parley with members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Jigawa State. He commended his principal, Governor Namadi, for the trust and confidence reposed in him by selecting him for a second term.
“I consider this nomination not only a great honour, but also a renewed call to service and responsibility to the good people of Jigawa State. I remain profoundly grateful to His Excellency, the Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, for the confidence and trust he continually had in me.
“I pray that Almighty Allah will guide us, strengthen us and enable us to continue serving the people with sincerity, humility and dedication.
“I thank the members of Jigawa Correspondents’ Chapel of the NUJ for their display of professionalism in the discharge of your constitutional responsibilities in informing and educating the people.
