Who is coming: Pope Leo XIV — born Robert Francis Prevost, the first U.S.-born pope and a naturalized Peruvian citizen who once led the diocese of Chiclayo.
When: The Peru leg runs 11–17 November 2026, part of a wider journey that also takes in Uruguay and Argentina from 6 November.
Where: Lima, Chiclayo, Cusco and Pucallpa are on the expected itinerary.
