B2C2, the digital asset liquidity provider majority-owned by Japan’s SBI Holdings, has appointed Jason Lai as Senior Advisor in Singapore. Lai previously chaired Schroders Wealth Management Asia, and his role is specifically designed to deepen B2C2’s relationships with family offices and institutional funds across the Asia-Pacific region.
The hire is part of B2C2’s broader push into the Asia-Pacific region, where the company opened a Singapore office in 2024 and is actively pursuing a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Why Asia, why now
Asia’s blockchain transaction volumes grew 69% year-over-year through June 2025, according to OECD data. Goldman Sachs estimates that roughly a third of family offices globally now hold crypto assets. Projections suggest private-wealth assets under management across the region could reach $99 trillion by 2029.
