Russia is conducting a systematic campaign aimed at creating food shortages in Ukraine while simultaneously fueling panic so that people buy more than usual, thereby increasing shortages. In this way, they are attempting to inflict an additional psychological blow on the population.

According to Ukrinform, the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) said this on Telegram, citing Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council.

"Are there reasons to panic? There are none. They are targeting logistics, but logistics is being reorganized. There will be no shortage. There are empty shelves in some supermarkets, while others have no such problem. Accordingly, this is a logistical shortage, not a food shortage. The logistical shortage, just as happened with fuel in 2022, will disappear, logistics will be reorganized, and food will be back on the shelves. Everything will be fine," Kovalenko assured.

According to him, "it is very important to keep a cool head because the enemy needs to create the illusion that the situation is out of control and that no one can cope with it. Then people will be forced to rush to stores and buy the last bag of buckwheat."
