Two persons of a family died and four others sustained injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a lorry near Namagiripettai on Wednesday (August 125) night. According to police, the family, comprising N. Praveen (32), a resident of Nagiyampatti near Thammampatti in Salem district; wife Gomathi (31); sons Jivith (3) and Nijith (2); father Nadesan (60); and mother Amutha (52), was returning home after visit to a temple in Namakkal district. At Moolapallipatti near Namagiripettai, the car collided with a lorry around 11.30 p.m. In the crash, the six sustained grievous injuries and were admitted to a private hospital at Rasipuram.
