MUMBAI: Birla Estates has secured rights to redevelop a housing society spread over a 3.06-acre land parcel in Navi Mumbai’s Vashi area along with an affiliate of local developer.The project has a total revenue potential of approximately Rs 2,600 crores and marks the company’s entry into the Navi Mumbai redevelopment market, the developer said in a release.The redevelopment of Shiv Sai Co-operative Housing Society will comprise premium and luxury residences.“Our entry into Navi Mumbai reflects Birla Estates’ approach to growth by identifying markets with long-term potential and building with discipline, scale and a sense of responsibility,” said Ananya Birla, Director at The Aditya Birla Group.According to her, this project is an important step in strengthening our presence across the Mumbai region.“Vashi represents a strategic entry point for us into Navi Mumbai’s redevelopment landscape,” said KT Jithendran, MD & CEO Birla Estates.The wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Real Estate, recently forayed into the redevelopment market with its first project spread over 1.3 acres in Khar through a joint venture with Parini Group.
