MANILA, Philippines — Sen. JV Ejercito on Thursday vowed that he would not allow the “leadership fund” under his stewardship of the Senate finance committee.
Ejercito recently assumed the leadership of the finance panel, which was previously headed by Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian.
“As far as we are concerned, there will be no leadership fund. I will continue with that because when Senate President Win was the finance chair, he said he did not have such a fund,” Ejercito said in an interview at the Senate on Thursday.
“So it will not happen again. Nothing like that will happen,” he promised.
