Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku has signed a new five-year contract with the club. The Athletic reported last month that Doku, 24, was set to extend his contract until 2031, with his previous terms set to expire in 2028.It is another significant renewal for City, with Doku the fourth first team player to sign a long-term deal with the club this summer. Academy graduate Phil Foden signed a new four-year extension, while defenders Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov also committed their futures until 2031.“It’s a privilege honestly,” Doku said. “I am so happy that they trusted in me first of all and as well that I can continue to play for this big Club. I remember when I arrived here from France a bit of an underdog. Nobody really knew me. I had to prove myself and being able now to sign a new contract shows that they trusted me and that they appreciate how I’ve been playing. So now it’s just a privilege.“I just want to try to win everything, be competing in every trophy again go as far as possible. And on a personal note, I just want to do every year better, so even grow more and be better. I don’t know what that looks like, but like I said, I want to play my part and just be better than last season again.”
