APAC operator ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has secured up to $1.37 billion in funding for STT Johor, the company’s flagship 166MW data center in Johor, Malaysia.
The funds, which come in the form of a green loan, will be used to fund the build-out of the campus’ first phase. STT GDC has said that this will provide 16MW of IT load, and construction is expected to be completed by 2027.

STT GDC broke ground on the first phase of STT Johor back in February 2025. Plans to build a Johor campus were announced in November 2023, after it acquired the land from local real estate firm Crescendo Corp.
The campus will be located on 22 acres within Nusa Cemerlang Industrial Park in Iskandar Puteri, a planned city in southern Johor.
