Leulumoega College’s Under-18 boys have won the schoolboys tournament in Wallis and Futuna after defeating Fiji 19-5 in the final on Wednesday 12th August 2026.
The two-day tournament ran from August 11th to 12th and featured eight teams from different islands across the Pacific.
Leulumoega College principal Tuatagaloa Lupeomanu Tumanuvao Lolesio Viane confirmed the team’s victory in a phone interview with the Samoa Observer and said the result was a proud moment for the school and Samoa.
Tuatagaloa also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of Samoa who supported the team while they were overseas.
He thanked those who kept the players, coaches and school community in their prayers throughout the tournament, saying their support meant a lot to the team during their time away from home.
