Savai’i schools delivered a dominant performance at the Samoa Schools National Sevens Rugby Tournament 2026, securing all but one title across the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
In the Under 18 Boys final, Leulumoega Fou College defeated Palalaua College 15–12 in a closely contested match. This was the only title that did not go to Savaii.
In the Under 16 Boys division, Vaiola College overcame Mataaevave College 24–19. In the Under 14 Boys category, Amoa College beat Vaimauga College 12–5.
In the girls’ divisions, Itu O Tane College delivered a strong performance in the Under 18 Girls final, defeating Aana 2 College 20–0. Itu O Tane College also claimed victory in the Under 16 Girls division, beating Aana1 College 19–7. In the Under 14 Girls final, Vaiola College secured a win over Itu O Tane College 21–12.
The tournament drew strong support from families, with many travelling from Savai’i to watch their children compete. Parents described the event as emotional and proud, highlighting the effort and dedication of the students throughout the competition.
