Orlando Pirates stars Kamogelo Sebelebele and goalkeeper Sipho Chaine among the players who received a wake up call from coach Abdeslam Ouaddou after a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu in Durban.

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou sounded the alarm to his top players, captain Nkosinathi Sibisi and first-choice goalkeeper Sipho Chaine, after they dropped points in a 1-1 draw with AmaZulu in their second Betway Premiership encounter of the season.

The match on a chilly evening at Kings Park looked set to be another victory for Pirates after they dominated early exchanges and took an early lead. However, AmaZulu could have gone into the break 2-1 ahead after having a clear goal ruled out for offside, before Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya slotted home an equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

Those incidents, among others, left Ouaddou frustrated, and he made no attempt to hide his dissatisfaction during his post-match interview.

"Congratulations to Sibisi and Chaine. Of course, they were at the World Cup, and we are happy for them, but they need to wake up because on my side, I don't have time [for them to recover]. They need to wake up; I really don't have time," lamented Ouaddou.
