Deputy President of the Lands and Titles Court, Siliga Diana Roma, was sworn in as an Acting Judge of the Supreme Court on Wednesday 12th August 2026. Her appointment to the Supreme Court comes four months after she assumed the role of Deputy President of the Lands and Titles Court.
Siliga took her oath before the Head of State, His Highness Tuimalealiifano Vaaletoa Sualauvi II, at his official residence in Vailele.
The ceremony was attended by Supreme Court justices and the President of the Lands and Titles Court, Lesatele Rapi Vaai. Chief Justice Satiu Simativa Perese and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Justice and Courts Administration, Papalii John Taimalelagi were also present.
Siliga is from the villages of Alafua, Vaitele, Patamea and Salamumu. She became the first woman to serve as Deputy President of the Lands and Titles Court when she was sworn into the position in April. Siliga was joined at Wednesday’s ceremony by her husband, who is also a Supreme Court Judge, Justice Fepuleai Ameperosa Roma.
Siliga began her legal career in 2013, working under Fepuleai Patrick, and has more than 13 years of experience in the legal profession. She established her own firm, Roma Law, in 2018.
