The Convener of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group, Bamidele Atoyebi, has urged President Bola Tinubu to enforce the delegation of authority across Ministries, Departments and Agencies to prevent delays in government operations.
Atoyebi also called for the establishment of a direct feedback channel through which Nigerians could send concerns, ideas and reports on the performance of government institutions to the Presidency.
He made the call in a statement on Wednesday, expressing concern over what he described as the excessive concentration of decision-making powers in the hands of some ministers, managing directors and other political appointees.
According to him, some government institutions struggle to function effectively whenever their heads are unavailable because critical approvals and administrative decisions depend solely on them.
