While much of the public attention around military AI has focused on which tech companies won or lost classified contracts in Washington, a separate and much larger rollout has been quietly reshaping the daily work life of roughly 3 million people across the U.S. military: GenAI.mil, a Pentagon-built platform that puts commercial-grade AI tools directly on the desktops of nearly every uniformed service member, civilian employee and contractor in the department.
