At RISE Women’s Sports, industry leaders will come together on Sept. 10 in New York City to examine where women’s sports stands today and what comes next.

One of boxing’s most accomplished champions, Serrano will take the stage for Fighting for the Spotlight, a conversation about the battle for recognition, opportunity and a bigger platform for women in combat sports and across the broader sports landscape.
As women’s sports organizations grow, strong leadership behind the scenes is becoming just as important as the stars competing in front of the crowd. Kim Stone, CEO of the Washington Spirit, will bring an executive perspective to Inside the Front Office: Running Women’s Sports, looking at what it takes to operate, grow and lead a modern women’s sports organization.
For three-time Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, the conversation includes what happens after an athlete’s competitive career comes to an end. During Second Act: When Athletes Become Executives, Walsh Jennings will explore how athletes can translate the experience, influence and perspective developed during their playing careers into leadership roles beyond the field of play.
