Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Home improvement retailer Home Deport announced Wednesday that Ted Decker, its CEO, president and chairman of the board, will take a temporary medical leave of absence.
Decker is expected to return within several months, the company said. In his absence, Ann-Marie Campbell, senior executive vice president of U.S. stores and operations, will oversee day-to-day operations, while Richard McPhail, executive vice president and chief financial officer, will oversee financial operations and Pro subsidiaries.
Greg Brenneman, the lead independent director of the board, will serve as the board chairman in Decker's absence.
"The Home Depot has the best management team in retail," Brenneman said in a statement. "Both Ann-Marie and Richard are strong, seasoned executives who have worked together for more than 20 years. We are confident in Ann-Marie and Richard's ability to lead the company during this time, and we look forward to Ted's return."
