Ann-Marie Campbell and Richard McPhail will oversee operations while Ted Decker recovers; the company expects his return within a few months

Home Depot $HD chair, president, and CEO Ted Decker will take a temporary medical leave of absence, the company announced Wednesday. The company expects Decker to return within the next few months but did not disclose the reason for his leave.
The board of directors, acting on Decker's recommendation, selected two executives to oversee the company during his absence. Senior EVP Ann-Marie Campbell will handle day-to-day operations, while EVP and CFO Richard McPhail will manage the company's financial operations and Pro subsidiaries. Greg Brenneman, the board's independent lead director, will chair the board while Decker is away.
