Dr. Mohammed Elmorsy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at MacEwan University. He earned his B.Sc. (Honors, 2008) and M.Sc. (2011) in Computer and Systems Engineering from Zagazig University, Egypt, where his graduate work focused on wireless sensor networks. In 2017, he obtained his Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta under the supervision of Prof. Ehab Elmallah, with a dissertation on path intrusion detection reliability in wireless sensor networks.
His research interests include wireless sensor networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with a focus on deep learning and reinforcement learning. Dr. Elmorsy’s work bridges networking and AI, integrating reliability assessment, efficient routing, and intelligent resource management in next-generation networks while leveraging advanced AI methods to improve automation, adaptability, and intelligence in computing and communication systems.
