His appointment followed the former Chairman Cyrus Mistry’s unceremonious exit.‘Revered name’“I am not seeking a reappointment after February 2027 as my term comes to an end,” Chandrasekaran told employees. “I spent 40 years in the group and did not know where it will take.” “Tata is a revered name and that is because of efforts of all employees like you. The group will continue to make progress and each one of you will also have opportunities,” he added, while also advising the staff to not pay attention to gossip and conspiracy theories.Published on August 12, 2026
