Three villages in Alluri Sitarama Raju district have become 100% “Digitally and Financially Saturated Villages”, District Collector T. Nishanthi announced on Wednesday during a digital and financial literacy awareness programme organised at the Kindangi Gram Panchayat office. The three villages are Kindangi, Addumanda and Sangodi in Paderu mandal.Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Nishanthi said the government’s objective is to ensure that every family of rural and tribal areas has access to banking services, digital payments, insurance, pension and other financial servicesEvery person above 18 years of age to have a bank account and develop awareness about digital payment systems, She advised, explaining that banking services are being extended to remote areas of the district through 29 bank branches, 21 ATMs and 2,643 business correspondents.
