MANILA, Philippines — Manila Water is set to further strengthen water security for its East Zone customers with the upcoming completion of the East Bay Phase 2 Water Supply System Project (WSSP), which will add up to 200 million liters per day (MLD) of treatment capacity to the company’s growing portfolio of alternative water sources.
Expected to be completed in September, the East Bay Phase 2 WSSP will provide an additional 200 MLD of water supply to customers across the East Zone.
The ₱7.84-billion project sources raw water from the eastern flank of Laguna Lake and will significantly enhance supply availability while helping reduce reliance on Angat Dam, the primary water source for Metro Manila. Once operational, it is expected to serve approximately two million customers in Pasig, Pateros, Taguig, and parts of Rizal Province.
