Told to change into lingerie for a man they knew only as "the Boss", three women who thought they had moved to Durban to work at a call centre were instead ordered to strip on camera for men who paid to watch.

They had been driven from Johannesburg to a suburban house they did not know.

Once inside, petrified and 600km from home, the women were locked in, barred from contacting anyone, and watched at every turn.

It was not long before the Boss allegedly groped one woman as he hugged her, squeezing her buttocks, then touched another woman's breasts and buttocks.

This is the case the state has brought against a 65-year-old La Lucia man, who appeared in the Durban Regional Court on Wednesday facing 20 charges, including trafficking in persons, kidnapping and sexual assault.
