Cava Group reported second-quarter net income of $23 million, or 19 cents a share, as same-restaurant sales rose 9% and guest traffic climbed 5.3% compared with the same period a year earlier.
Revenue for the quarter ended July 12 reached $365.4 million, a 31.3% increase over the prior year quarter. Same-store sales growth of 9% topped analyst projections for a 7.1% gain, according to the Wall Street Journal. Analyst expectations called for revenue of $360 million. The per-share result beat analyst projections by a penny.
