Xing Mobility will present two battery systems for maritime applications at SMM 2026, an international maritime trade fair taking place in Hamburg, Germany, from 1 to 4 September. The manufacturer describes the Immersio XM25 and Immersio CTP as next-generation battery systems developed specifically for marine environments. As the company states: “Both systems are based on our patented immersion cooling technology, in which every single battery cell is fully surrounded by an electrically non-conductive cooling fluid.”
Xing Mobility is, at its core, a Taiwanese developer of immersion cooling technology for batteries. In immersion or submersion cooling, the battery cells are completely flooded with coolant. Typically, cooling plates or channels only touch one or two sides of a battery cell, meaning heat transfer occurs over a significantly smaller surface area than with immersion cooling. This technology is designed to dissipate heat efficiently and prevent thermal runaway in individual cells, as well as the spread of fire throughout the entire pack.
In July 2022, Xing Mobility introduced the Immersio XM25, initially targeting heavy-duty commercial vehicles. In August 2023, the company followed with its first cell-to-pack battery solution, the Immersio CTP, which is also suitable for electric cars. At the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2024, the Taiwanese company presented a cell-to-chassis solution. Most recently, at IAA Mobility 2025, Xing Mobility introduced a CTP battery specifically designed for sports cars.
